Area Events

How the Area Events page is organized:

  • Links to events by organization provides you with quick link access to the events page of the listed organization if you prefer to search by organization.
  • After that you may view events, classes, etc. by date. Although this is a very long list, not every offering of each organization is listed here. For that, please use the “Links to events by organization” section.  Every effort is made to present items accurately and in date order; however, please confirm dates, times and locations directly with the organization offering the event.
  • After clicking on an external link use the back arrow on your computer screen to return to the MG website.

The HUMMINGBIRDS are here!

According to the Audubon Society,  Hummingbirds feed every 10-15 minutes and visit 1,000-2,000 flowers per day. To supplement their diets, you can give them home made nectar made with 1 cup of boiling water and 1/4 cup of PURE WHITE SUGAR. Important: Use REFINED WHITE SUGAR ONLY. Plain white table sugar is sucrose, which, when mixed with water, very closely mimics the chemical composition of natural nectar. Do NOT use organic, natural or raw sugars which could contain harmful levels of iron. Do NOT use honey. And of course, do NOT use any coloring. For more information visit AUDUBON.ORG. space
